It might be too early to trade-in those games as the multi-player for Call of Duty Black Ops is likely to keep players occupied for a few months yet and the Xbox 360 Kinect likely to be a favourite over the Christmas holiday breaks.

Unfortunately, Tradeyourgames.co.uk does not currently sell new titles – however, it is fully aware that our gamers need to know when these games are out. Remember that you probably have completed games in your collections that can be traded in for these purchases but you cannot do this online anywhere else but with us (ie buy games and use your unwanted video games as part exchange credit).
The benefit however of using Tradeyourgames.co.uk to sell your games is that we offer the same in cash as we do for trade-in credit – what that essentially means is that you can sell games to Tradeyourgames, get that cash in and then use it to buy the latest titles online at other sites if we don’t stock the title you want at the cheapest price currently available. This is much better than having to buy the game from the same retail shop that you are trading in your old games too – plus tradeyourgames.co.uk does offer more trade-in credit than the high street stores do anyway!
Right, we are off to practice our moon-walking and dancing skills for the latest Michael Jackson game on the Wii….OOOOOWWWWWW!! Have a good gaming weekend!

Hello peeps,
Its been a while since we updated this blog – a combination of being extremely busy and also developing some great new tweaks to our site and the pricing system which will be launched in the next couple of months.
Christmas is nearing – and people need to start thinking about not only receiving Christmas gifts but also buying Christmas presents for others – it can be an expensive time so we realise that the time might be right now to dig around your video games collection, find the games that you have completed or have no intention of playing again, dusting them off and logging onto tradeyourgames.co.uk to see what they are worth in cash to you.
It’s simple – search for your games that you want to sell, we give you a price that you will be paid in cash with no fees, no auctions and non-paying bidders, sell us your games and we will make payment by cheque, bank transfer or paypal. It’s straightforward and simple and should help you with some cash towards buying those Christmas presents and of course maybe buying a treat for yourself as well.

Its been a while coming but just a quick update and to let you know that we are starting to add the older console titles on to our system allowing you to buy, sell and trade your preowned games on the Xbox and PS2 console for cash.
You wont be getting too much for most of the titles but adding multiple games that probably no longer get any gameplay will add up and allow you to get some cash for them or alternatively generate some discounts off purchases off our site..
Of course some of the classic titles that are difficult to get hold of will be worth more in cash and our prices will show this..
Keep your eyes peeled and you shall see the database grow by the day, starting with the Xbox consoles..

Arguably, the best game of the year so far, Red Dead Redemption on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 has done to cowboys and the Wild Wild West what Grand Theft Auto (incidentally from the same makers) did to the city and carjacking Taxis.
Red Dead is a great game with lots to do, and as a result has become the must buy game of the year..
However, once completed and all achievements have been gained, what do you do with the game?!
There are plenty of options but we think rather than having it placed on your shelf gathering dust, why not trade in your copy of Red Dead Redemption on either the PS3 or Xbox 360 and get cash for it to purchase other games on our site www.tradeyourgames.co.uk.
In a regular blog post, we will be picking titles that are current popular trade-ins, ie. ones that are coming in regularly or ones where we are promoting our temporary abnormally high trade in prices in the hope that it will convince some of you to trade in your unwanted games for cash..
Red Dead Redemption on the 360 is currently fetching £20.54 cash value if you want to sell us your game today – of course this is liable to change as more stock starts to come in, so we recommend that you are quick on the draw just like the main character in the game, John Marston.
This compares very nicely to some of our competitors who claim they have the best trade-in but more often than not don’t – We won’t be naming them but it will be fairly easy for the astute of you to work out who is who!!
Tradeyourgames trade in prices for Red Dead redemption on the 360 is
£20.54
which is:
- £5 more than the £15 cash that those guys at the musical bird companies are offering..
- £4 more than the £16 cash that the high street stores with the name that sounds rather naughty..
- £8 more than the largest high street stores around offer in cash.
We are also offering the same in cash that you would get in vouchers from Argos currently (as they start their trade in programmes in store) – however, you have to buy something from Argos with their vouchers, whereas with the cash you earn from us, you can spend on absolutely anything you want!!
So you know where you need to go for trading in your copy of Red Dead Redemption if what you want is the highest trade in prices around.. and that’s us at Tradeyourgames.co.uk

After a quick spruce of the pricing database, we realise that there are still a fair few games and titles that need to be added to the system so that our customers can trade those games in and get cash for them rather than using the high street stores and also the big sites like ebay.. Thought it would be a good idea to let you know the following titles have been added that you can now buy (when we have the games in stock) and also sell to us for cash or part exchange trade in credit for purchases on the site. We have added the following wii games as below – if you see any more titles that are missing on the Wii that you want to trade in, feel free to leave a comment and we can get these on the site immediately..
You can now trade in the following wii games for cash -
All Star Karate on the Wii can be traded in for just over a fiver in cash.
Get cash for your copy of Fifa World Cup South Africa now the World Cup is over

We have also added what is in our opinion the best game out on the Nintendo Wii at the moment – we are also paying a very nice £25.96 for your copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii - if you want to get rid of it that is!
Check out our site to see what the current trade in prices are for your unwanted Wii games and the games that you have played to death – trade them in for other games on our site or indeed just take the cash and try not to spend it all at once!!

Its a question we are sure a lot of you are asking – why should we sell games to tradeyourgames.co.uk when we could actually make more money selling them on the largest auction sites around like ebay and amazon?
Well, we can give you several reasons why!
1) Ease of use – why bother faffing around with spending lots of your time creating the perfect listing on ebay with all these details about your game and taking a nice photo of the game to go with the listing, only to find that you are competing against the other 100 sellers selling the most popular games around at the moment. Tradeyourgames makes it easy to find out how much your game is worth – its as simple as typing in the name of the game or the barcode on the back of your game to find out how much tradeyourgames values this title at in cash. No spending time creating listings – its that easy.
2) No fees – lets just say that you actually manage to sell a game that you put up for sale on these auction sites. Its taken you anything up to 7 days to find out who the buyer is and you are also uncertain as to how much you will get for your game until the end of the auction. You cant pull out of selling the game once the auction is over and the final price is indeed that – the final price you get for game.
But is it? Once you take into account the fees incurred (nearly 10% off the sale price), then take off the listing fee (anything from 10p upwards), then take off the paypal fees for receiving your money (anything from 20p to 5% of the total amount), then take off the cost of postage. An individual game sent out by royal mail first class will cost you very close to £1 and that doesnt include the cost of the envelope. The fees on the amazon marketplace are actually higher at closer to 20% of the final selling fee, plus a flat rate of 86p for each media item sold.
Now compare this to the instant offer you get from tradeyourgames for your video games and consoles.
1) There are no fees to be taken off,
2) postage at the moment involves you paying for the games to be sent to us but you are sending more than one game to one address rather than lots of titles to different buyers which means significant cost savings – we will even be bringing free postage in the late summer for orders over 5 items.
3) No listing fees
4) No waiting for buyers (for certain titles your game will remain unsold as there will be 40 other people selling the same game) and
5) No uncertainty around the price you will get for your games. We tell you how much you will get for your games upfront.
Quick example for you – lets say you had your copy of Assassins Creed 2 on the PS3 to trade-in now that youve completed it.
Quick glance on ebay shows this game going for £9.70 at its cheapest, with most copies of assassins creed 2 ps3 selling on ebay for around the £11 mark at the moment. Take off the 10% fees, listing fees of 10p, paypal fees of 4%, postage fees of £1 and you are left with £8.50ish if you sell at the £11 mark and significantly lower if you sold at £9.70.
Now check out how much tradeyourgames.co.uk will buy your ps3 games for including assassins creed 2 ps3 – current trade-in price is £9.90 cash for this game – with no fees to be taken off it either!!
All of this we hope mean that you will start to use our services to turn your video games in to cash – tradeyourgames.co.uk provides you with a simple, hassle free, cost effective way of selling your games, and at much better trade-in prices than the high street too!

Here comes another Bank Holiday weekend – lets just hope that the weather behaves nicely this time!
It’s been an extremely busy time at tradeyourgames towers – the only place in the UK where you can trade in games that you have for other titles all in the same shopping cart. We will be tweaking the pricing slightly over the bank holiday weekend so that you get more cash for your games whether it is on the Xbox 360, the PS3 or some of the portable consoles like the DS and the PSP.
Thought it would be good to explain what we are doing here with some of our pricing – the new Fifa title –
Fifa World Cup 2010 is out today on all next gen consoles and it might be a little galling that its going to cost you £30 odd to buy this new from all good online retailers. We don’t have any copies in just yet but hopefully think that tradeyourgames.co.uk will be the place for people to trade in their copies of Fifa World Cup 2010 after reliving all the glory moments in the world cup this summer.
However, this brings up a problem for buyers of the game, what do you do with your old copy of Fifa 10 – and that is exactly where tradeyourgames.co.uk comes in.
The current trade-in price for Fifa 10 on our systems is:
£13.44 cash for your ps3 copy
£9.06 for your version of the game on the Xbox 360
£9.10 for your copy on the Wii.
Selling these games to us makes your purchase of the new game much cheaper. While you are at it, why not check out the trade-in values for xbox 360 games, trade-in values for ps3 games and trade-in values for your wii games and get some more cash in your pocket..
You may say that its easier to sell your games on ebay – but a quick search by us just now shows the last copy of Fifa 10 on ps3 going for £15, on the xbox 360 for £13 and even less for the Wii. Take off the fees charged by them, the cost of postage and the costs of paypal – add in the risks of non paying bidders and then revisit our cash prices for games.
We make it easy and quick for you to get cash for your completed and unwanted video games, no fees, no hassle.
Why not see how much your other games are worth and sell those to us in order to fund your purchase of a new game over the weekend.
In the meantime, enjoy the bank holiday weekend..
Ciao,
The tradeyourgames.co.uk team
