The much anticipated game Homefront on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 has finally been released on Friday 18th – will it be able to compete with the Call of Duty’s of this world? This remains to be seen but initial thoughts are that this will spawn many more releases based on the franchise.

Set in Korea, the game imitates the best of Call of Duty and Battlefield games but in a new setting – however it seems a couple of flaws stand out. The longevity of the game sits at 5 hours for the single player campaign mode and whilst the multiplayer is great, we cannot help but think we would rather go back to playing Call of Duty Black Ops for the multiplayer element.

As a result of the shortness of single player campaign, we anticipate the influx of trade-ins for Homefront to begin very soon, as gamers complete the game and trade-in their copy of Homefront pS3 or Homefront Xbox 360 to tradeyourgames.co.uk or decide that they would rather sell Homefront for cash on either console. Current trade in price as at 21st March 2011 for Homefront on both consoles is sitting at £25 – sell the game to us at this price sooner rather than later as we anticipate this price to drop fairly sharpish!
